Looking for Christmas stocking ideas. Marley could care less about Nylabones, and doesn't have much interest in her puzzle ball or toy. She's interested in the Kong for as long as it takes her to get the stuffing out, but doesn't like to chew on it otherwise.
Her favorite toy right now is a $3 squeaky spiked ball from Walmart. It doesn't bounce well, but it has a very loud squeak. Someone had given her a squeaky bone toy that she loved, but she lost it and I can't seem to find it online. It was perfect for fetch.
The JW iSqueak balls are wonderful- we have tons of them. The baseballs are their favorite, they have a weird bounce sometimes, though- they have some that have line accents on them that bounce in a way that's easier to predict. They make nice squeaky bones in that line, too- they are really heavy on the larger side (so go with the smaller ones for your pup).
You need to "start" your Nylabones, if you haven't. Take them outside and rough them up really well on the concrete if you don't have another dog who "gets" them handy. Most puppies just don't find new, unblemished Nylabones very attractive. Different flavors or shapes might make a difference, too (ours love the bacon flavor, the sticks, dinosaurs, and bumpy dumbbells have been favorites at some point).
Both of mine adore the Jolly Teaser ball, though they eventually work the holes large enough to get the inner ball out. The outer ball holds up surprisingly well, though, and if she's not a power chewer, she might enjoy it as it is for awhile.
She might like the Kyjen hider toys- the beehive/bees, squirrel/tree, birdhouse/birds. The little toys are squeaky and pretty well built, most dogs seem to love them (our big boys are too rough on soft toys at this stage, but, all the dachsies that have come through our home have had a blast).
I can't link anything right now, but if you have trouble finding any of them, holler and I will!
My dog loves anything with a squeaker. I stick to stuffingless toys because otherwise she methodically kills them to pull out the stuffing. Stuffingless toys she just lovingly nibbles and nuzzles.
Chuckit also makes a really squeaky tennis balls that fits into a chuck it and she loves that at the park.
Our dogs favorites are West Paw's tough toys, Benebones, and Silly Bums. <--- These silly bums are hilarious and for some reason my dogs don't destroy this stuffie immediately. All others succumb in under 24 hours.
