As if having people at work think I'm pregnant didn't make the week bad enough, I jammed my toe into the back of my 3 year old's shoe on a walk last night, and now I think it's actually broken!
I have ran once since my half on April 28. I had strep throat during the race and didn't know it, and now I'm fighting some laryngitis/sinus crap.
There are about 900 other things that I could complain about right now, but I'll spare you and keep this H&F related.
I really need to run to work through this stress, and now I probably can't. I wasn't planning on going to the doctor because they won't do anything for a broken pinky toe, but if u think it would be better if I did, I'll go.
That sucks! Is it swollen, discolored, and painful to walk on? I'd probably rest it for a few days, maybe even taped to the one next to it for stability.
Boo You're right the doctor won't do much, but maybe you just stubbed it and it will feel better in a few days! I broke mine last fall (on my DD's bed) and my whole foot was swollen and black and blue for a few weeks. I went to the orthopedist and they took x-rays every few weeks to make sure it was healing straight, but there wasn't much else they could do. They did give me a boot that made it a little easier to walk with, though. Took about 6 weeks to really heal and the first few runs back hurt like crazy (hills literally brought me to tears). Good luck and hope it gets better soon!
