We are planning a trip some time this year - not ever sure of dates yet. Just a couple of days as a 10 year anniversary trip... And I am totally overwhelmed by the hotel options.
We are really not going for the gambling. Dh always said if he had it his way, we would get married at a drive through by Elvis. So we decided I would get my wedding, and for our 10th anniversary he would get his. So we are doing a tacky vegas vow renewal and we want to see a show, do some outlet shopping and walk the strip. We aren't really into clubbing or the casinos - although I am sure we will gamble a little
Is the wynn quieter?? We are also not hot weather people and have no interest in the pools or sunbathing.
Definitely. They don't have the pool parties that many of the others do (well Encore does on the weekends I think so get a room that doesn't face their pool).
The Wynn pool is just not designed for partying like so many of the others and you have to be a guest to use it.
I stay at the Wynn and encore for work. It will ruin you for all hotels in the future, however. It is so nice. Except for the coffee situation - they don't have coffee makers in the rooms and I had to wait in line like 15 minutes to get coffee at 6 am. Ugh.

Soooooo you don't like hot weather, gambling or clubbing...why Vegas?? Haha;) In all seriousness, avoid it from May-September as it can be brutally hot then.

Lol this!
We like Wynn & Encore but it's at the top of the strip. Another fave was Aria.
It depends on time of year. I only go during the warm months so staying somewhere with a great pool area is important to me. I love the wynn for that reason because it doesn't feel like the vegas party scene.
I love the Wynn for the same reason. I like that it is kind of away from the craziness that you find where the Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, etc. are.
haha, I know. My husband gets sick in the hot sun so we will go in the cooler months. It`s his idea so I am going along with it, and we do want to see a show, but primarily we are going so we can do the tacky vegas vow renewal. The shopping is a big draw for me too haha! I am not anti-gambling but we aren`t going to spend hours daily in the casinos.
We always stay at Wynn for work and I love it for all the reasons posted. I've also stayed at Palazzo and Caesar's on non-work trips. I love Palazzo. The big sectional in the sitting room is so comfy! And I love walking through the canal shoppes.

We've been loving the Cosmopolitan lately. Love the chandelier bar - the casino floor is smaller which I like - I get lost in the huge ones. The rooms and guest service is amazing. Centrally located for what we do.
Aria and Cosmo are brand new and modern. Last time we stayed at the Palazzo and loved it because every room is a suite with a sunken living room. We also had our daughter with us, so it was nice to have a space to hang out after she went to bed.
