Need to get something for A soon. I looked at California Baby and it's like $30. Any other suggestions? Has anyone tried the Aveeno? I hate aquaphor. The texture grosses me out!
Our pedi said to use 1% hydrocortisone for flare-ups and Aquaphor after bath for daily maintenance. This has worked well for us.
Is there a problem with Aquaphor other than the greasiness? I just put cheap clothes on as soon as I put on the Aquaphor so it doesn't get grease everywhere.
We rotate between aquaphor, cerave, and the neosporin eczema cream. I think my favorite is actually the neosporin one. It seems to be working better than the aquaphor this year and it's really bad this year for J.

No problem other than the texture.
Are you supposed to bathe them daily? I was under the impression you were supposed to bathe them less often so you don't dry out their skin.

My pedi said to bathe him daily so that the Aquaphor has some moisture to seal in.
I use the normal Aveeno NOT the Aveeno for eczema stuff, because it doesn't have dimethicone in it and that is what acts as the sealant for their skin.
For flares and red areas we use hydrocortisone.
For baths we use Cetaphil (I get the generic version) and Head and Shoulders for his head for his cradle cap.
