I'm pretty much done shopping and everything is wrapped! I've never been this on top of it before! (It's only wrapped because I'm a teacher and the teen leadership class at school was wrapping gifts for teachers all week :-)
We went to a birthday party today and the girls had a blast, then took a 3 hour nap. That's unheard of these days. Great Saturday!

We've had a pretty good weekend. Yesterday was a girls' holiday brunch at my cousin's house (though I was told I had better bring my kiddos, which I did). Then I met up with my best girlfriends for our holiday get together last night, which involved lots of food and wine, exchanging gifts, and topped off with a hilarious game of Cards Against Humanity.
Today we had some family over for lunch that we won't see on Christmas and they brought some presents for the boys, which was so nice of them. The boys have been really pretty easy this weekend, which has been wonderful.
Most importantly, I didn't have to work this weekend and had my normal Friday off, which felt really good. Factor in a short week this week and next week and I'm ecstatic.

I work today and tomorrow, but my gifts are wrapped, a batch of cookies were made for Santa, and our holiday meal has been planned to be very simple. I am 35+1 weeks today, and really really hope that I have these two before the end of the year. Going back to work after break(although remotely) will still be really disappointing. My friends daughter asked me what I asked Santa for, and I told her for my babies to be born! Don't disappoint Santa
demandypants - the end is uncomfortable but be glad they are in there cooking as long as they can. :-)
I think I'm done shopping, except for stocking stuffer things but I should be able to do that tomorrow. The boys are more enterained by all of the nutcracker decorations we have than they are by the tree which make me think the tree may survive without an accident. :-)
Just getting settled into life as a new MoM. I'm working on getting my poor nips healed. My goal is to be be done with syringe feeds and back to EBF by the first week of the new year. Doing pumping and syringe feeds won't be sustainable after H goes back to work.

I'm off for two weeks, too! It's like a very mini-maternity leave, LOL. I only have one more present to buy, and ugh, I just can't get myself out of the door to get it. The boys turn 1 next month, so with my time off, I should start thinking about what we're going to do. But first, holy cow, how are my babies almost one??

Our winter break has been low-key so far. It's been tough in a way b/c DH and I have both been pretty sick and it's rained almost every day so our energetic kids were stuck in the house with two sick parents. We've had some good quality family time despite the cabin fever and lots of brotherly fights though.

Good luck! Nursing twins is hard work but very rewarding!
The girls' first Christmas was fun but very busy with lots of guests. I can't believe they will be a year old in a couple of months! Now that the holidays are winding down I'm party planning.
