1800 sq. feet or so with another 1000 sq. feet of finished basement. 2 adults, 3 kids, dog, cat and a partridge in a pear tree. This home is basically the opposite of what we wanted when looking last year especially smaller than we wanted but I am so glad we didn't go bigger. I can't keep up with the cleaning as it is and with the twins crawling now the layout is perfect. I am also glad that we utilize every room in the house.
2 adults, 2 children, 2 cats. One adult works from home, one adult stays at home with both kids all day. We are all at home, all the time. In 728 sq ft.
Where's my medal?
This is us exactly but add in a large dog and another cat too. I am soon to check in to the mental institution.

2100sqft, 5 people, but it's elevated, so the garage and playroom are the footprint of the house. We also have lots of covered deck space (we live in SC and use it year round. My point being, it feels much bigger than it is haha
531 sq.feet. Me and 2 cats. I am busting out at the seams and am desperate for more space but can't sell. Of course I could clean out a bunch of junk and probably feel like I have three times the amount of space!
I'm pleasantly surprised at the # of sub-1800 numbers here. I assumed most numbers would be 2000+, particularly outside of the HCOL areas. I would love to make our 1750 sq ft house work for us long term because I love our location. H thinks it's too small.

3900 + finished basement
-2 adults -2 kids -1 cat -approximately 1000 cubic feet of empty boxes that H insists on keeping "just in case." -2 potted plants in the cucumber grow room
Oh good. From what I have seen of your posts, I didn't think you were a prepper, so the word bunker surprised me a little.
Hahaha the word originated from my coworkers (we are all realtors). We didnt know what to call it. The architect referred to it as the lower garage. My fun coworker called it a bunker and the term stuck!! The purpose was always extra storage space really. It's just funny that it theoretically could be used for a zombie apocalypse scenario. I don't believe in zombies but I do think Putin is nuts!
We have the same setup in our house, but we have called it "the zombie room" since we first saw the house. The name scares our guests a bit, which is half the fun.
2057 above ground, with the finished portion of the basement it is 2486. We have 5 people. 4 bedrooms. The girls share a room and the baby is still in my room, so we essentially have two open bedrooms. Its more than enough space for us. The bedrooms are fairly small and the bathrooms are not big/luxurious but the living space (main level) is pretty spacious.
About 2000 sqft. 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 cats. The space itself is fine, but the layout is not ideal. And because it's a condo in a building built in the late 1800s, we dont have a basement and storage is kind of shitty.
The design of our home doesn't lend itself to much closet space, and our neighborhood is built on rock. I would kill for a basement and more storage. The only positive is that it's kept us from holding onto hold furniture and many bulky items over the years. I'm sure if we had a full basement DH would have stacked all of our old stuff down there.
