I'm getting real tired of ratchet...I learned that word from the Brooklyn girls at boot camp...girls posting half nude pics in uniform on the interwebs. I don't care if it's your uniform or not its in bad taste and disrespectful. It's even more disgusting if it is your uniform because you should just fucking know better. I want to smack these dumbasses. It's no wonder people think all women who make rank in the military are either sluts or raging assholes. This is why we can't have nice things!
Muscle shots are so okay. If I could get my butt back in the gym I'd be posting them too. I'm determined after Christmas to go back. I've been using my knee as an excuse and it's time to stop that nonsense.
Yikes. How utterly disrespectful. And the other wives here looked at me sideways for saying that I won't wear a flight suit dress or carry a flight suit diaper bag because it's not my uniform to cut up.

I had to google flight suit dress. I cauldn't believe it was really a thing. Do they wear those casually? Wtf?

That in particular is just not my style. At least with flight suits the fabric is a wearable color. I don't mind the idea of upcycling a used flight suit that can't be worn for its intended purpose anymore. Although I can't imagine those wear out too quickly.
I've only seen people wear flight suit dresses as a costume for combat dining in. Never, like, as actual clothing.
I was actually going to page you. Aren't you a pilot?
I am so anti spouse groups and FROs doing activities that are so like, stereotypically feminine. I still like H's old squadron's FRO's FB page and I often leave passive aggressive comments because I don't care, and I don't have the same LN as H. I just do not understand.

Yeah, it bothers me that "spouse" still means "wife" to a lot of people. My husband is a great sport, but he just doesn't feel welcome at coffees and play dates and Bunco. In today's military we have all kinds of families, and I'd love to see spouse groups be more welcome of "non-traditional" military families (like dual-mil, active duty women with civilian husbands, same-sex couples, etc).

Hell, I'm still looking forward to the day when "spouse" includes "employed spouse", regardless of gender...
The number of times it's assuming I am free for whatever in the middle of the freaking work day, or available for stuff at all hours, or free of other responsibilities of my own... I could be a millionaire if I had a nickel for every time it happened. So frustrating.

Sing it, sister. I don't even bother signing up for FRG e-mails anymore because in 11.5 years I have never felt like they really wanted to know if working spouses could attend any of their functions. Thanks for inviting me to that 1:30 pm coffee on a Wednesday, but no thanks.
