Is wallpaper that awful for an accent wall?

H and I moved into a newer house. We spent lots of time ripping hideous wallpaper off the walls in our previous, very old house. We are currently painting most of the downstairs grey. Now I am thinking it would be cool to do an accent wall in the dining room with wallpaper. H thinks I'm nuts. Is this ugly or something you would get tired of quickly?

I would only do a textured kind of wallpaper, kind of like the kind you may find in a fancy hotel.

I think it depends on the paper

I like the look when the paper is more subtle.

I'm not a fan of that particular paper, and, now living in a house where the owner went buck wild with accent walls in every.single.room, I'm over them.

If you do it, be subtle.
