So, we are doing family pictures this Saturday. I am getting my hair cut that morning so it will be nicely styled. I am also getting a mani. I was thinking since I am at the mall anyway I should just get professional makeup done, but I realize I have no clue which makeup counter I should go to.
So. . .
1. Is this a dumb idea? 2. Is it free? 3. I just need very basic not too flashy makeup. I know this varies by makeup artist but is there some brand that will probably be less flashy then others? 4. Do I need to make an appt?
Under no circumstances go to the MAC counter, you'll end up crazy faced. I'd say that Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Chanel and Dior would all be good picks.
ETA: Some of the other ladies may have a better idea in terms of appt. But it should be free. I'd suggest calling the beauty dept at the department store and asking their manager.
i like bobbi brown. eta: and like pp's said you will just have to buy a few products. you can walk in, but if you want to make sure they are free i'm sure you could call and make an appt.
I agree that Bobbi Brown or Clinique would be good choices. If you have a Bare Escentuals store near you, they could be a good option too. Look around at the makeup of those working at the counter and see who's look you like.
I would call ahead because some places do charge and some take appointments. I also would recommend Bobbi Brown out of all makeup counters for a wedding.

I think I might just show up. It will be Saturday morning. I feel like the counters are always dead around then. I am excited. I hope they make me look normal ha ha
