olympic runners wear. Earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, etc. I even saw a bellybutton ring earlier today.

Yes, I was thinking that when I was watching the track and field events. I can't even work out with my rings on, it feels restricting.

I'm surprised any Olympic athletes can wear jewelry. I have to take my rings off to take a walk, much less to do anything really athletic. Although I do live somewhere much more humid than London, and my fingers swell like crazy.

I love the flair. I think swimmers and track athletes are really into their nails as well.

All I can think about when the runners are wearing necklaces is that it would suck to get whapped in the face.

Yeah, I've seen some pretty fancy nails on the swimmers.

It is funny watching the runners. In hs we couldn't have ANY jewelry unless you could prove that it was for religious wear. I'd get a new piercing every year after the state meet just because I could.

I swam in HS and it was the same. Each year my friends and I would make friendship bracelets to wear over the summer and then cut them before our first meet. Dorks!

Huh, interesting. I wore my wedding band only when I ran at a gym. I'm assuming it has something to do with being on national TV.
