Doctor Who Christmas Special

I think I need to watch it again because the event I thought was going to happen didn't and I am a bit peeved and that is overshadowing everything right now. OK, I more than a bit peeved.

So I am soothing myself by watching this.

I thought clara was leaving? I enjoyed this episode. seeing him drive the sleigh was really sweet, the glee in his eye. I feel like this season doesn't really have a MAIN problem, like most seasons do, a pressing dilemma.

Clara is leaving, just not until the end of the this season.

I'll admit I was hoping for this to be Clara's last episode. I still like the show but we're rewatching Ten's seasons right now and it's sure not what it used to be.

I'm so sad, but I'm kind of over DW.

Doctor Who has clearly licensed exactly one Christmas-y song and they play it in every.single.Christmas.special. And some that aren't Christmas episodes. It was amusing for a few years, and now it's just obnoxious.

Also, H couldn't remember why Clara was so stunned to see the Doctor again at the beginning of the episode. That about sums up our investment in the current season.

I love Capaldi. Much more than Smith, for sure. I despise Clara and I'm irrationally upset this wasn't her last episode.

I loved Nick Frost. He is fantastic (side note: watch Cuban Fury, now streaming on Netflix.) I like Capaldi a lot I just feel like the writing has not been very strong this season. I hope they can do more with his Doctor.

It was ok, especially considering the uneven writing this season. I did like them giving 12 a moment of boyish glee while driving the sleigh (but appreciate in general 12 isn't like that all the time, nice contrast from 11).
