congratulations. You will do great. December will give you plenty of time to train in cooler weather too.
I am moving from NJ back to TX in August, so I won't have quite as much of a window of cool weather, but it should still be enough time. I hope! I am going to work on increasing my distance while we still live here so that after the move I will just need to get used to the different weather.

I worked a water station at RunGirl last year and froze my butt off. I love all the TriGirl races and am hoping to maybe run RunGirl this year, if not, my tri team works the water stations.
Awesome! Can I ask how long you have been running? I just started running at the first of the year and want to sign up for a HM in August. Not sure if I'm being too ambitious. Anyway, GL!!

Well, I was a runner many years ago, and just started up again in March. So I wasn't really totally starting from scratch...I'd say that I had a good fitness base when I started up again. I don't think I'd be ready for a HM in August. I mean, I could probably do it, but I probably not as quickly as I'd like to.
Woohoo! Can't wait to run it with you! At least, the first half mile until you leave me behind!
I am not so sure about that! Remember, this will be my first HM!
But yes, we totally need to meet up there. And before that too, once I am back in Houston. I told my DH that I "kind of knew someone in Houston who was a big runner and also has 2 girls" and that I was going to wedge my way in to her life, lol
