I go on my first one 4 weeks from tomorrow and I can't wait. We got to Canada from NYC on the Magic. I don't have any questions, I'm just really excited.
We went on the Disney Magic when it was brand new. I was about 16. My dad still measures all other cruises against that experience, and he's been on a number of other cruise lines in the intervening years. We all had a great time. Enjoy!

We cruised on the Wonder a couple of years ago. While I wish my kids had been a little older (we missed a lot of the late night activities because they simply couldn't stay up that long!), overall it was an amazing experience. Enough so that I've already booked a winter 2013 cruise on the Dream! You'll have a great time.
Don't forget that you can bring an item to the guest relations desk (a pillowcase, photo mat, etc.) and have it autographed by some of the characters. It's a really nice keepsake, especially for kids. Just toss the item into a ziplock bag with some Sharpies or fabric markers, maybe a bag of candy or another treat for the crew as a small thank you, and bring it by guest relations on embarkation day. Your cabin steward will return it to you by the end of the cruise. We did an 8 X 10 photo mat for the family, and a pillow case for each of my DDs, and they're our favorite reminders from the trip.

That's what I plan on doing. I want to get 2 photo mats- one for the princesses to sign in pastels and one for Mickey and friends to sign in bright colors.

We went on the cruise on July 8th. We absolutely loved it! DD loved meeting all of the characters. This was her first Disney experience. She was just shy of three on the cruise and she had a lot of fun. If you have any questions send me a message!

My first cruise was a Disney cruise back in 1993 when I was 12. It is still one of my favorite memories and I still keep in touch with some of the friends I made on the ship. My parents are taking all of next August on the Disney Fantasy. It's a year away and we are already counting down- I can't wait!
