DH and I (in our late 20's) are looking to go on a cruise and Celebrity looked nice. Does anyone have any thoughts or experiences sailing Celebrity that you would care to share?
We went on a Celebrity cruise to southeast Alaska in 2010. The food was good, the rooms were nice and the crew was great. The entertainment was lackluster though. Definitely check out Cruise Critic. They seem to be pretty spot on from my experience.

We've done many trips on Celebrity. It does have an older crowd than Royal and the nightlife can be a bit of a let down. We pick between the two based on the itinerary. I can give up the nightlife if we are diving every port or it is a port intensive European/Asian trip. I want my sleep to do things during the day. Dress code is enforced a bit more on formal nights, than on some othe cruiselines. The rest of the entertainment really varies by how new the ship is and what the audience is like. This is true for both, if you do a trip where English is not the main language of the passengers they tend to have more acrobats/jugglers/physical comedians vs if you do a cruise from a US port where they have lesser knowns from comedy central that are telling jokes that you need the cultural knowledge to get. The production shows you either like them or hate them, I liked them the first few cruises, but lately I just skip them in favor of star gazing.
As far as ships, the newest ones are great, the older ones depends on which one they are in a refurb cycle.
Food in the main dinning room is normally good for mass produced. The specialty (extra charge resturants) are a step up. Blu for Aqua class is different menu, we haven't done that yet, scheduled for December. The reviews or it sound good.
Nice touches drinks and wet towels when you return from ports.
Normally Nothing is ever a problem (99% of the staff. I had a issue with a captian's club hostess who seemed to think we were on mummy and daddy's dime and status level due to our age That did get straightened out)
My H and I have cruised on Celebrity Solstice to the E Caribbean and we loved it. We booked AquaClass so we ate in Blu and found the food to be wonderful everywhere. It felt pretty upscale for a cruise. We also enjoyed the spa facilities that come with AquaClass. My family/friends have cruised on Royal Caribbean, Carnival, and Princess and the Celebrity cruise looks so much better based on their pictures and videos. We aren't really into partying though or cheesy dances and celebrations.

Thanks for the reviews. We are looking at cruising on the Reflection, which hasn't even sailed yet.
We are also planning on going E Caribbean in Aquaclass. Did Blu have Lobster on "lobster night"? How were the spa facilities. I love to relax in heated lounge chairs or in steam rooms/sauna with a nice citrus/cucumber water. The treatments look wonderful also. missy1, did you get any treatments? We aren't into partying or cheesy stuff either. We would like to stop by a lounge or bar for a drink (the Molecular Bar looks amazing!), but nightlife/dancing isn't a big draw for us either.
Yes, Blu did have lobster on lobster night. We also ate many other wonderful things there though! We had lunch in the main dining room one day and it was also great. The desserts were richer there, I think. But I kind of hate making conversation with strangers at the dining table. Murano (specialty restaurant) was just as good as fine dining we have had in Dallas. The spa facilities available to Aquaclass were really nice. We didn't get any spa treatments (no time!) but I almost had to drag my H away from the heated loungers. The bars and lounges were nice and upscale. I loved that no one got ridiculously drunk and crazy and there were not a lot of kids since we sailed in late Oct. There were absolutely no kids in Blu.

The Persian gardens are a nice place to relax (have done the day pass on celebrity and a similar thing on RCCL) I think my favorite is the hot stone massage. The menus for blu are floating around if you want an idea of what other choices you have for dinner and breakfast. Molecular bar is fun. There should be a limited number of kids if any in Blu, the Aquaclass rooms only hold two people unlike other rooms. If there are kids since it is anytime dinning you can eat a little later if they bother you.
