Day 1. This is my second whole 30. I just threw away all the leftover Christmas candy!
I had eggs and veggies scrambled for breakfast and now I'm making a ground beef and cabbage thing that I'll use to make stuffed peppers or just eat by itself.
Yesterday I stocked up at trader joes. It took me two carts to get out. Lol.

Did you find prepared compliant foods? If so, would you share?
My husband and I will be starting on Sunday. I planned out all of the meals for the first week and I will probably do the grocery shopping at some point tomorrow. I went to Sprouts the other day and stocked up on all the more difficult to find things (ghee, coconut aminos, etc) and some vegetables that looked amazing.
I am starting to get really nervous/overwhelmed by the thought of trying to find compliant items and reading all the labels. I tried to pick up a few items the ther day and it seemed like everything had sugar as an ingredient. I think I was annoying all the other customers by picking up 10 different items and reading the ingredients one at a time.

Just the frozen turkey burgers and the plantain chips. I wasn't really looking for prepared foods as much though. I was stocking up on veggies, eggs and meat and easy stuff for my toddler and husband who won't be following the plan.

TJs is still new for us here. I've only been a couple of times and all my friends talk about is the prepared foods so that's what I always think of getting there.
I'm starting a whole 30. 1/1 was day one for me. We've eaten fairly paleo for the last couple of years, but over Christmas I kid of went crazy. So much alcohol and sweets! I've also started a habit of finishing my daughter's toast and sandwiches. Not so paleo, lol! I'm hoping the Whole 30 will help rid me of that habit and general cravings for junk.
I only gained a few pounds over Christmas, but my body definitely looks bloated and bulkier. Bikini season comes quickly here in Southern California. So here I am!
