I have a (awesome white sparkly) fake tree. I should take it down this weekend. But don't know if I want to. Maybe on Sunday. Otherwise, the following weekend. I was gone a lot in December and feel like I didn't get a chance to enjoy it.
Epiphany. January 6th at least. My birthday is the beginning of this month, so I typically leave them up until then. Or February 20th. Whatev you think is good.
I usually take mine down right after the new year.
Our neighbors take down all of their outdoor Christmas stuff, but leave a few white lights up in their back trees and on their back deck all winter. I love the brightness in the dead of winter.
Usually our stuff comes down on New Year's Day while watching the Rose Parade. Not happening today. H works tomorrow, I don't so I'll take it down in peace and quiet tomorrow.
Mine was an all day affair yesterday. It was so depressing
I did leave the dining room decorated, even my aluminum tree, just without the ornaments because everything is silver and blue and that seems winter. Let me have some of the magic still please.

This is my reasoning. The tree and the Santa stuff come down first. Most of my other stuff is more "winter" decor so I don't mind leaving it up for a bit.
I agree, the rooms look so empty at first once the decorations are down. You can leave them up as long as you want! Of course, you'll be the crazy lady who still has her decorations up in April, lol.
I need to do mine sometime in the next few days. Some years I have left the tree up until epiphany, but this year it's feeling really cluttered and I'm tired of playing ornament defense. I do leave the wintery stuff up through February.
Our stuff is staying up until Jan 10th because H/myself are OOT and/or working long hours until then. In the future I think we'll take it all down around the 1st.
Now that I live back in the snowy Midwest, all of my snowman stuff gets to stay out until the end of Feb. when we lived in warmer places, it came down with the Christmas stuff. I think I have more snowman stuff than Christmas stuff, simply because I wanted my decorations to last as long as possible!

I just got done taking everything off the tree and putting it outside. our trash day is tomorrow. The tree was so dead. The rest I will slowly pack away when I have a free moment.
