My twins are still in the infant seats but I was wondering...when they go to convertible how do you get them in and out if its just you? At home would be fine but when you go to a store or something what do you do?

I put our convertible seats behind the passenger and center seat in my car so I could get both girls out from the passenger side. I would usually have the stroller so I would take out the kid behind the passenger seat and plop her in the stroller, then grab the other one. I also had a sling so if I was just making a quick trip I would put the first one in the sling and carry the other.
I load them into the stroller one at a time, or if we are at a grocery store, I load them into the cart one at a time. At places that only have one seat in the cart (grrrr), I have one in the carrier. I have an SUV so I open the rear door and put whatever I'm loading them into there to keep it blocked from other cars or people. We just moved our guys to the convertibles this weekend and I'm going to miss the snap and go!

This is what I do also.
Except I don't go to grocery stores (for large trips) that don't have carts that fit two babies. It's basically Costco or the giant car carts at Kroger.
I will do a quick run into a random grocery store with just the stroller and hook the basket on the handle bar. But that's when I need, like, 10 things at most.
I would use a stroller until they are old enough to walk in. My mom watches all 3 now, but we kept J in daycare from March when the girls were born through the end of June. H dropped J off but I always did pick up. I used to just load the girls in a stroller and take that in with me to pick up J. Then he walked out and held my hand and I pushed the stroller with the other. Some days I carried him with one hand and pushed the stroller with the other.
You will figure it out. Logistics seem daunting but you just make it work. That's not to say I didn't break out in a sweat each pick up that first week lol.
You may want to buy a double umbrella stroller for these types of quick trips. I already have a city select, valco tri mode twin with Joey seat, city mini, first years ignite, 2 ergos, a ring sling, and bjorn. Yet here I am planning to buy a maclaren twin triumph so that I have a double umbrella stroller for travelling, trips into the drs office etc. Right now I just carry their bucket seats into the drs but once they are out of those I'll need some way to contain them and my city select and valco are big strollers. I'd prefer something smaller so I am sucking it up and buying another.
I would run in one, while the other was in the car, then go back and get the other. I won't lie, it sucked. A lot of the time, one of the daycare workers would meet me at the door for hand-off. Especially sucky in winter.
As for going shopping and such, we either all went, or we didn't take them and one of us would go do the errand(s).
