I agree that it would be crazy to quit just to taxi them around. Have you ever thought about getting an au pair if you have room for one? I'm kind of leaning towards doing that when my kids are older and need to be driven around to activities if I am still working FT. Either that or get an extra car for you to drive so the nanny can have the minivan and it sounds like you need a new nanny.

If you quit, would you miss the adult interaction? I chose to stay at home due to the logistics of taking care of twins with a husband who travels/works long hours. The hardest part has been isolation from adults and real conversations.

You have sounded conflicted about this for years. You can clearly afford not to work financially, just decide what you want for yourself. I am also a rare working mom in an area of mostly SAHMs and I like being different. I really love my career and yes, there are times that I miss things and times that's it's hard, but I still love it and don't have the inner conflict.
