Just got a call about DH's SA results and I need some zombie hugs. The nurse just told me that there were 0 motile sperm in his sample. He is supposed to have a urology consult to see why there may be a problem.
I have PCOS and haven't had a regular cycle in a long time, so I was hoping we were only dealing with my IF issues. Now that we got this news, I am crying at my desk at the thought that we will have to go through IVF or might not be able to have children at all.

Oh, Womet I am so sorry
I know it is not much help but now that you know what the problem is you can work on finding solutions, which means that hopefully you will be able to get pregnant one day.
Thanks ladies. I hope the urologist can shed some light on this. He had a SA 2 years ago and the total count was on the low end (but he was embarrassed about having to produce it in the office and had his first nocturnal emmisssion since he was a teenager the night before his SA). The news of 0 motile sperm is just so shocking. This is the first time I've cried over anything in our IF journey, because it made me realize how badly I want to have children with DH and I feel like it's slipping away.
Feel free to cry a little bit. However, dont give up hope. If every nestie gave up hope, we would have no miracle babies. And we have a few. So wait and talk to the doctors. Fingers crossed. Hugs
I'm so sorry..I know first hand how devastating that can be...but there is hope. DH had 0 sperm in his first SA. After going to the urologist they found he had low testosterone and that was causing the low to 0 count. He started on hcg shots and another med they give breast cancer patients. His count eventually got up to around 8 million-not great but enough for IVF w/ICSI. As you can see from my ticker it worked big time! Good luck with the urology appt and keep us updated.

Thank you for this and congratulations on yor triplets! DH has actually thought that his testosterone was low because he had decreased sex drive, so he mentioned something to his PCP about it. They tested his testosterone levels, and the results said they were normal. However, I am not as comfortable accepting this so we will also ask the urologist about it.
And thank God we are going on vacation soon, because I think we both really need to relax and have fun before we embark on this new journey. I will absolutely keep you all posted.
