I feel like I have been hit by a bus this weekend.
This is exactly how I felt in first tri. But yes, it did get better in second tri...I remember feeling more energy at maybe 14 or 15 weeks? Hang in there!
I was tired in first tri, but my energy came back to normal levels in second tri. Third tri has been the worst for me, exhaustion-wise, by a long shot, though.

In first tri there were days I came home from work and collapsed on the couch and took a nap. It was exhausting. Second tri was much better. I do not recall third tri being too bad.

For me, it wasn't really a burst of energy, but I wasn't going to sleep for the night at 6 pm anymore. I literally do not remember last summer at all because I slept the whole time.

I never got the 2nd tri energy. Turns out I was really anemic, and the drs didn't figure it out until I was 28 weeks. So by the time the iron supplements took effect, I was in the 3rd tri energy suck phase.
If you don't get some energy back by 14 or 15 weeks, I'd raise it with your dr.

This was true for me. I was super tired inthe third trimester.or maybe just the last 6-8 weeks. This is what terrifies me about having a second child
I felt much better once I hit 2nd Tri. The constant nausea went away and my energy levels picked up. I consider 1st Tri something you just need to survive by any means necessary. Don't worry about your diet too much and sleep as much as you can. May not be the greatest advice.
I was tired most of my pregnancy, but like some of the PPs, it was more the energy-suck kind, rather than total & complete. I took a nap when I got home from work most days, but that's not as weird as it sounds, b/c before Little E, I did that a lot of days--I just don't sleep enough at night (maybe 4-5 hours). I also found out I was anemic about halfway through, so when I finally went on the iron supplements, I felt like somebody turned me into a superhero re: my reclaimed energy. I hadn't realized the lack of iron was that bad.
For me first and second tri was rough. I just wanted to rest and sleep all the time. Third tri was all about nesting and superpower energy. I love third tri!! Lol

I think third tri is harder for me because I can't get quality sleep, even when I try. I have to pee 2-3 times a night, or I wake up because I'm laying in an uncomfortable position and it takes an act of God to roll over, or the baby is having a dance party. At least in the first tri, I could go to bed early and wake up feeling reasonably refreshed.

The exhaustion on top of the nausea and vomiting are killing me. It is basically survival mode around here. I usually feel better around 16 weeks or so and then feel pretty okay until the end. I never feel "great" as advertised in the second tri, but compared to 1st tri is a massive improvement. Hang in there.
This makes me hopeful. I'm soooooo tired right now. Getting up in the morning is awful, I yawn all day, my eyelids are drooping all afternoon, and I'm ready for bed by 8:45. It's all I can do to get through the day, drag myself through my pregnancy workout video (so awkward), and crash on the easy chair until dinner. My new boss keeps asking why I don't just go get a cup of coffee when I'm clearly looking exhausted. What a time to be starting a new job!
