Day 2. I'm in awe. All of my adult life I've had horrible GERD and acid reflux. I've been taking a daily medication (Nexium) plus keeping Tums on hand for the constant breakthrough heartburn. I noticed yesterday morning that I didn't have heartburn so I held off taking my pill. All day long, no heartburn. As of this morning, it's been 36 hours since my last pill and no heartburn. I always knee that I had a wheat sensitivity, but this proves what I thought, that I have a lactose sensitivity as well. I'm sure going to miss cheese!
I actually feel really good- way better than the timeline suggested I would, lol. No hangover feelings, and I feel pretty clear-headed. I didn't binge on cheese and bread before starting, so maybe that's helping.
I did have a couple moments the first day of "oh, I should have eaten ___ one more time," but reminded myself that it's 30 days and whatever it was will still exist afterwards. Other than 5 Guys and a beer, I can't really remember what any of it was. And I think the 5 Guys is actually a possibility, if I get mine bunless and pick toppings carefully/do take out and use my own condiments.
I am on Day 3. I got my son a donut today at the grocery store bc I accidentally left a 15 dollar jar of almond butter I paid for at the store last night, so I had to go back. I normally would have had a bite or two even though I try to stay gluten free but I held strong!
I am realizing that I typically use meat as a condiment and eating all this meat is making me want to throw up. I would rather not eat than eat at this point, and am forcing myself. Finishing my monkey salad was hard this morning and it is the only thing I really like eating right now.
I have bad inflammation and water retention, which is why I am doing the Whole 30. I think I need to cut out dairy. But anyway, after only 2 days I have lost over 3 pounds of water. I am peeing all.the.time.
Is it wrong if I mix a cup of coffee with half a can of coconut milk?

Have you considered doing the vegetarian version of W30?

I will have to look into it. I was a vegetarian in high school, but just ate a lot of pasta and processed crap. DH is doing the Whole 30 with me and he likes meat! I don't particularly want to cook separate meals, but honestly I haven't checked into the plan at all.

Day 6 - I think I'm a few days ahead of me that Whole 30 timeline. Today I have energy, but am uber bloated. Going to drink lots of water today!
I ordered the red boat fish sauce, but am not going to go out of my way to find sugar free mustard or srichacha. We have some home made stock here, but I'm going to use the boxed in a pinched. Is this defeating the purpose of the Whole 30??do I care? Lol.
I have been a little headachey today and kind of tired. But then again, I'm getting back into the routine of waking up a 5am again after a week and a half off. I also worked out kinda hard last night and I wasn't feeling 100% so hopefully things improve on that front.

Day 2. I feel pretty good. Tiniest bit of a headache that I might not have noticed if I wasn't expecting it. Had leftover Greek stew for lunch today with roasted cauliflower. It was a TCMTG recipe and was delicious.
Day 2. Ok so far... a slight headache today. Not craving anything too badly, but I think I need to bring more to eat at lunch because today and yesterday both I was really hungry in the afternoon. Looking forward to trying a Mexican recipe I found for dinner tonight.
Day 3. I still have a headache from yesterday. Not sure if it is from this or from what I'm doing at work. I feel great. the only thing I'm craving is a diet coke, but it only happens when I see someone drinking it. I got sparkling water and it is helping. Other than my headache, I feel great!

I drink La Croix all the frickin' time. I buy 30 packs from Costco weekly *ashamed*

I keep wanting to try the mango La Croix, but they are always sold out.
I love the berry flavored Dasani Sparkling. It comes in a normal can, so I think that really helps me feel like I'm drinking a real soda.
Now that you mention it, I have a bit of a headache.
Had a quick breakfast of sausage and veggies before running out the door for meetings. Back home eating lunch and prepping some food to take for "dinner" while I'm out until about 10 or so. Hope it will be enough. Some leftover chicken and raw peppers.

Idk if you are a fan of squashes, but have you ever had raw yellow squash or zucchini? It is really good! The yellow squash almost tastes buttery.
Day 3 for me. I am in the honeymoon phase and dreading the headache that is bound to happen soon. So far everything I have eaten has been fine. I wish I could sprinkle cheese on my eggs but I honestly am not freaking out over it.
Day 6 for me. Feeling great now but the first three days were rough. I had a headache from the sugar withdrawal.
I have a fb group going with about 10 friends who are doing it with me and it's been fun to share meals and recipes with my girlfriends. So far everyone is loving it as much as me.
Day 2. I feel good today, getting back into the swing of it. I am finding that breakfast holds me over pretty well till lunch, and I'm good after dinner til bedtime, but I've been really hungry after lunch, starting in mid-afternoon. I think I need to add more protein.

Day 2. I have a headache. But it could completely be PMS. Funny how the symptoms are the same for that and carb withdrawal! My goals this time is to really focus on eating enough fats. My avocados are hard as rocks right now. My dinner solution was to plop some mayo in my salad with balsamic. So good!
