Something reminded me of The Witch of Blackbird Pond last week so I checked it out of my library on my Kindle and read it over a few days. It was fun to revisit an old childhood favorite, but it's always so weird to me when they book is so short. LOL! There is this whole slew of books that I read probably around the time of 5th or 6th grade that I've re-read that seem so much shorter than I remember.

I'm jealous that you were able to check something out of the library for your Kindle and were able to start reading it right away. Stupid local library system. :@

It wasn't right away because there was a wait list. But the wait was short so it only took about 2 days. Our library system is pretty rockin' awesome though. When the second book in the Divergent trilogy was coming out I got on the wait list for physical book, before it was released, but they didn't have an eBook wait list at all. But I kept checking back and about a week after it came out they had eVersions and I was able to hop into that line instead and got the book about a week later.

I put myself on the wait this for a couple of ebooks through my library system about a month ago. I am still somewhere in the high 30s on the list.
