My friend is on this train. It comes with a very restrictive diet and while she has lost weight doing the challenge, I'm pretty positive she would have lost it anyway just by following the diet. She's also gained it back every time once she stops following the challenge diet.
Follow their recommended eating plan without buying their drinks and I’ll bet you get good results. And you don't even have to give them all your money.
::waits patiently for Advo rep to come in and talk about how LYFE CHANGING it is::
My uncle, who I have spoken to THREE times in the past TEN years, texted me the other day wanting to get together so he could talk to me about Ad.vo.care
My cousin sells it and my dad's wife did it. She said it's pretty much a ton of pills and supplements. So, not really something you can maintain long term. It depends on what you're looking for. I guess it could be a good kickstart, but I'd worry about all the pills and stuff.
My cousin did this early last year and lost 29lbs.
When she had to stop because it was too expensive, she gained back 29lbs and then some. She has been having much greater success with Weight Watchers, which she started in the summer.
I'm an advocare distributor and one of the main premise of the 24 day challenge is to clean up your diet. While if you are already eating clean/healthy, you may not see as much result as someone who gives up their daily chips and soda, it does provide you a boost to get over the hump in a weight loss plateau. I don't push it on anyone though like some people...if someone is interested then great, if not then ok as well.

I don't understand. Why were you asking about supplements/vitamins on H&F the other day if you are an Ad.vo.care distributor?

Why do people keep falling for this shit? There is no magic pill or amount of money that will make anyone lose and maintain that weight healthily. Diet and exercise, people, nothing else.

I was just curious as to what everyone took/if anything. I look back now and see that it was a pointless post as I mainly made it since I hardly ever make posts and that topic came to mind, so I made it.

Join MFP, find out your TDEE on Scooby Workshop, have a deficit of 15%, even better lift heavy weights (such as Stronglifts) and learn how to eat for life versus going on a restrictive diet which will most likely result in you gaining it all back and some (experience of myself and many others).

MFP gives ridiculous calorie goals so I agree you have to figure out TDEE and go from there. All of this is exactly the advice I give when friends talk about diets, cleanses, magic things. Eat the food, lift the weights, get good sleep... and don't buy into scams.
I bought into it...same as everyone else said. It works because you're eating like a rabbit (no dairy nearly killed me), and as soon as I stopped being so restrictive, BAM it came back.
I do, however, enjoy the Spark drink here and there. I'm sure it's no different than most of the other energy drinks but I keep some packets in my desk for when I'm getting tired and stabby at work.
I tried a friend's Advocare shake and it was nasty. You can print the diet online and the vitamins and supplements can be found for a lot less at any GMC. Basically just eat small portions of lean meat and a TON of green veggies, take a crap ton of fiber for three weeks and there ya go :-)
It seems like 92% of my friends list on facebook is part of an MLM scheme. In the past month, I've been invited to Arbon.ne, Ad.vocare, Ja.mberry, and PC SHIT. NO. I don't want your shit. In fact, I don't even know what half of it is. STOP INVITING ME.
I think one of the ones was a "Hey everyone! Come to my house and we'll make freezable meals! You just have to buy all the groceries. And the bags. And then some company gives us the spices!"
