So it seems weird to write spoilers when the news on this show is old.
Anywhoo, I really, really like last night's episode.
I liked that Don got his head out of his ass on the plane. How he didn't get it at first why the flight attendant was following the rules is beyond me.
Will being stoned was too over the top for me. His body guard is awesome! I loved his reaction to hearing the news and how he turned right to the cops.
I'll admit I cried when they replayed Obama's address.
I wish they would have more Will and less Maggie. She is the worst and noone in real life would want to be around her. Plus, she is horrible to her roommate, Lisa.
I was interested to read this thread because my FB feed contained some people who really loved it, and some people who really hated it, and not much in between.

I still love this show. I think people dislike it for (mostly) all the wrong reasons. Anyway, this episode was Emmy material. Lisa is way cuter than Maggie, and I will feel sorta a little bit bad for Don when she leaves him for Jim. Sloan is hilarious. I just PPH all of it.
I dislike it because of its out of control liberal bias. I assume that's a "wrong reason?"
I quit watching, too, and I'm pretty damn liberal. It wasn't the slant that bothered me. It was the stupidity of the insipid female characters. And I really groaned at the technology storylines. Can't figure out email in 2010? Don't know what lol means? I spent more time yelling in anger than enjoying it. And I enjoy righteous liberal rants
Is hating every damn character a "wrong" reason, too?
Y4: I'm voting for Mitt and I love this show. Its my favorite right now.
What other female characters are annoying? Maggie is, but thats one. I don't think there are any others. Mac is awesome, and she's a lead. I also love the Econ phd (blanking on her name)
Yeah I quit after episode 3--I just can't stop opening these threads. I don't know a single conservative who still watches.
That falls under my first reason, that Will is a fake Republican. That's an acceptable reason not to watch, but my caveat is the "but"--that I don't think Aaron Sorkin is writing to please conservatives' sensibilities. Again, it's fiction, not a documentary. It's akin to a rampant anti-Mormon continuing to watch Big Love or something. Stop torturing yourself!
I will add that I don't think Will is a fake republican. I think he's just not a social conservative (although he was in favor of the Arizona law) and he's not an extremist. Most people in my life vote for Republicans, and most are like him to be honest. Most in my group hate the extremes, and are socially moderate or even liberal. They are just fiscally conservative.
I don't think you have to agree with all the republican sectors to be a "real" republican. He's just a very moderate republican.
Heck, I'm a registered republican who is voting for Romney, and I've agreed with almost everything Will has said...except I am anti the Arizona law. So I guess I'm even more of a fake republican than he is.

That's a good point, irish. It's definitely not beyond the realm of possibility that someone with so much money would vote Repub for his own interests without espousing socially conservative ideals. He opposes the Tea Party and makes fun of Palin, but what con on this board doesn't?

IDK, Mac kind of sucks. She didn't open the *very important* e-mail because she thought it was someone asking her for a date? Yuck.
Mac is insanely smart and they portray her that way. EVERY character on that show has done multiple dumb things, male and female. I mean look at the guy who believes in bigfoot and suggested the POTUS was going to talk about aliens. Yet he is also portrayed as very intelligent.
Other than Maggie, I do not see any main female characters portrayed as dumb or flighty. They have their momemnets, but no more than the male leads.
