Is there one food that you're like "This is so stupid, why can't I eat this?" Not necessarily like a treat, but something that you think should be compliant but isn't.
For me, that's butter. Every W30 I did after the first one, I ate butter.
I think it's probably honey for me. I'm not missing sugar terribly in terms of candy/cookies/etc., but there are definitely recipes where a little honey would go a long way toward balancing out the flavors. HFCS? Sure, I totally see banning that (everywhere, not just Whole30). But I feel like honey should fall under the same category as fruit juice as a sweetener.
And I'll keep adding meals for the day, since I like seeing what other people eat:
B- bacon, egg scrambled with broccoli (this one was just crying out for cheese) L- cumin-lime avocado chicken salad, mini bell peppers, plantain chips D- pork and sweet potato stew, avocado-tomato salad E- treadmill, hip/core workout

I know what you mean about the fruit juice/honey argument. I know banning honey is a way to prevent people from making paleo treats, but you'd think that would be covered in the "don't make paleo treats" rule. I get it.
I miss lentils and beans and find myself constantly forgetting that they are off limits. I'll be making a paleo chilli recipe and think "oh, I'll throw some beans in here. Yum!" but sadly, nope. I too use a butter in moderation. I'm compliant with the other restrictions but butter I cheat on.

Exactly. Like bananas are allowed, but the frozen banana "ice cream" is a SWYPO food.

Day 12.
B - roasted veggies with chicken/apple sausage and some cholula L - runny eggs over cubed red potatoes, avocado for fat D - final leftovers of tikka masala over asparagus with avocado on top
I agree with honey. It'd be nice to use to balance out some of the spicy and savory recipes.
I'm missing coffee creamer and ketchup today.
I have tomorrow off so I'm going to Trader Joes and Whole Foods to get some new stuff to try out! Any suggestions?
Day 15! I think it's silly that raisins or grapes are allowed, but map,e syrup or honey are not. I know plantain chips are allowed, but I've banned them. They might as well be natural potato chips.
Tmi , but my period is starting and I don't have that bloated tummy I usually have. I'm still super hungry, which is typical, but otherwise I feel great.
1 6 oz. can tomato paste 2 Tbsp cider vinegar 2 Tbsp apple juice (wanted to use honey ) ~1/3 c water onion powder, garlic powder, allspice, cayenne pepper, cumin to taste, start with maybe a 1/4 tsp of each salt to taste
It's not Heinz, but it was good on my eggs this morning.

superduper - Funny you should juxtapose beans next to heartburn. I don't eat beans hardly ever because Mr. Wambam has a lethal allergy to legumes. But yesterday at work, we got Mexican for lunch and my meal came with beans. I ate them because I was super hungry and I was refluxing so hard all afternoon. FUCK THE BEANZ.
I miss beans and lentils too. I wanted to make my kale soup but that has white beans in it.
B-Eggs with spinach and onions L-Avocado, tomato, salad greens, eggs, clementines, apple D- Spaghetti squash with ground beef and marinara S-Cashews and apple

Day 11! I will jump on the butter, honey bandwagon. I did eat roasted yellow potatoes and felt tired and bloated afterword. So even thought they are okay. I am going to not eat them again during the rest of my challenge. I am not sure if it is my imagination, but I think my hair seems softer and more manageable.
I miss beans so much! (and my cheaper grocery bill). Previously, we used a lot of beans and it's hard not to have any. I used to do a lot of meatless meals to keep our grocery costs down, so this has been an expensive month for us!
I cheated and stepped on the scale this morning. (I'm blaming you guys because I definitely justified it by thinking "well other people on the board have weighed in so I can too! ha) I'm down 5 lbs! This is insane for me who usually holds onto weight like it's my job. Even when I was really dedicated to tracking calories in the past I'd lose like .5 a week. I also feel much less bloated. I'm wearing a pair of pants that were previously a bit snug on me but are actually a bit loose in the waist today. I'm feeling pretty good! Sleeping amazing and have actually woke up a little before my alarm most days!
Day 12! I got so bloated yesterday and still am today. I'm wondering if it could be related to the eggs I had for breakfast both days. Either that or my timeline is off. Yesterday morning my pants were falling down. Then I ate eggs. Then a few hours later I got so bloated that my pants were uncomfortably tight. This morning I'm up 1.5 pounds from yesterday.
I think it is stupid that we aren't supposed to have corn. I really want some plain salted popcorn.
I thought of some other "rules" that are bothering me. I think when there's a condiment or spice that has added sugar it's not a big deal. If my huge pot of soup has a teaspoon of fish sauce with sugar in it I'm not going to lose sleep. Or a little sriacha as a seasoning. I get ketchup and BBQ sauce bc that's like candy, but things like broth or cured salmon/bacon if it has sugar as an ingredient but 0 grams of sugar on the label - bfd!
wambam I think you were right about the eggs. I ate them for breakfast yesterday and today. I have felt gross, nauseous, and am bloated yesterday and this morning. I gained a pound of water again (which I lost after I didn't have eggs or avocado on Monday and Tuesday). I am weighing because water retention and bloating are a big reason why I did Whole 30, so I am trying to monitor it. I don't typically eat eggs more than a few times a month, so this would be something I don't notice that much. I was going to make homemade mayo, but I am not going to now. My nose/allergies were SO very clear last week and today they are awful. I am not planning on having eggs again during the rest of Whole 30. I also had bacon 2 out of 3 of the days I had eggs and cooked the eggs in bacon grease this morning. I don't think it was the bacon, but I am going to try some bacon by itself this weekend to see how it goes.

Day 11. A little tougher last night and today. I'm still bloated and I wanted to weigh myself this morning, but didn't. And I want a diet Coke. Bad.
Breakfast: Banana and almond butter Lunch: Leftover garbage stir fry, celery and red pepper strips, apple Dinner: Turkey burger and roasted sweet potato
