We are going to my parents' house tomorrow to visit and to spend the night. We will also be visiting a bunch of my cousins and their kids that live there. There will be copious amount of good food and wine that I will have to navigate but I'm really looking forward to it. Sunday we will come home and have a lazy day and food prep, etc. Today I am sending my kids to school and going to the mall by myself to spend my Sephora gift card and shop for sunglasses
B: scrambled eggs with veggies and salsa L: chicken breast and salad D: Cauliflower soup and E: quick 3km run

Day 12, and feeling better than yesterday. This weekend is supposed to be beautiful--close to 60 degrees and sunny--so we'll be spending a lot of time at the park with kiddo. Yay!
Breakfast: sausage party and Lara bar.
Lunch: a little bit of leftover stir fry and a small turkey burger
Dinner: pork chop and roasted green beans with cashews
No big plans this weekend, DD is sleeping over at my parents' house tonight, and DH gets home Sunday night after a week and a half OOT . We're all off of work and school on Monday, so we might hit IKEA for some stuff.
Day 16 - I really really wanted to open a bottle of wine last night. I had developed a habit of sipping while I cooked, then having some during dinner, and then of course another glass while I watched TV after dinner. I was able to tell myself to wait until dinner was ready before I opened it and if I still wanted some then I would have some. I had some celery and perrier while I cooked and by the time dinner was ready my craving had passed. Amazing!
Saturday morning my DD has a soccer game. The coach invited everyone out for pizza afterwards. We'll see if we go and if we eat salad. Otherwise should be pretty quiet. I've had a cold and hope to be feeling better to run by Sunday.
Day 6 Nothing too exciting. Need to think of some fun things to do with the kids. I have a few social things where I'll have to say no to food and booze, but it shouldn't be too bad since they're low-key things.
B - Acorn squash, egg, sausage, veggie casserole, avocado, coffee L - Sweet potato, leek, and chicken soup, almonds E - 5 mile run + strides Post workout - chicken & butternut squash D - Buffalo chicken salad, banana (maybe almond butter)

Day 12. Things are going good. I have used all the veggies and supplies I bought so this weekend will be stocking back up and looking for new recipes to try. Also watching the Seahawks again this weekend!
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”

Day 12. Finally feel pretty darn good!
I missed checking in yesterday but really want to contribute to the side eye why can't I have this part. Smoothies. As in green smoothies. I LOVE them, hence the screen name. I get the justification, but I get so many greens by having them. Mine are much more heavy on the greens than fruit. Sometimes I just don't want to chew a huge spinach or kale salad when I can get the same amount if not more in a smoothie!
Weekend plans-nothing too exciting. Out to dinner with friends, yoga, and Sunday meal prep!
B-leftover chx/sweet potato/franks that went in a portobello last night, raw veggies L-leftover butternut squash lasagne (with scrambled eggs as "cheese-amazing recipe), raw veggies D-aidells chx Apple sausage (omg how have I not had these before!), spinach salad S-monkey salad W-bikram yoga
I'm worried. We're going away and there is no way to bring my own food. I've got breakfast covered. What are your best tips for surviving this?!
Come to terms with the fact that you're going to be "that" person at a restaurant. Be polite and upbeat, but don't be afraid to ask questions and even see if the chef can come out and talk to you.

Day 16
Its my sons bday and my MIL is visiting for the long weekend. I have all the meals I can control down, but we will be going out to dinner a lot. I am going to do my very bestest possible.
We really don't have any plans. I'm going to study all weekend long. My husband is working. We are going to book our 2 year anniversary trip this weekend! We are going back to the Dominican Republic! I can't wait!
