I'm reading Letters from Home by Kristina McMorris. It's pretty good so far, but I'm not very far into it yet. It's just for my reading goal. I'm feeling motivated and want to try to read 75 books this year, which is more than I ever have before.
I just finished A Light Between Oceans for my book club. It was excellent and I can't wait to discuss. I just hope someone else finished it, too (it's more like a mimosa club than a book club lately).

QOTD: Titanic.
Haha. This question stemmed from a discussion with my sister, in which she said this was hers. I love it every time Rose says "I'd rather be his whore than your wife."

I'm reading The Glass Magician by Charlie Holmberg. It's the sequel to a Kindle First pick, The Paper Magician, that I really enjoyed.
My favorite guilty pleasure movie is My Best Friend's Wedding. I can mouth along to the entire script. In fact, I once read the script because I love it so much.
Just finished Sultry with a Twist. Pretty good romance novel. Didn't know until the acknowledgement sit was written my a Nestie.
Only book club or list I've ever tried to follow was this board's 2014 book club.
QOTD: a league if their own or just about any romantic comedy from the last 30 years. I'm also a sucker for the HS movies like 16 candles, she's all that, clueless, never been kissed, etc

I can't remeber what I picked that month, but it wasn't the Paper Magician. Too bad! I tried to figure it out, and I learned that you can now pick TWO books! Did you guys know that? I started Miramont's Ghost and so far, it's okay. The other choices look meh, but I like free books!
One of my goals for the year is to read the stuff already sitting on my kindle.

I just discovered that, too! I wonder if they changed it since they upped the price of Prime. I got Miramont's Ghost and Everything Burns. There have been some duds, but I've been pleasantly surprised by several of those First picks.

Ug! How much is prime now? Those fuckers just take it right out of my bank account and I'm surprised every.single.time. I think it was $100 last time. Is that the new or old rate?
I'm about half way through Without You, There Is No Us and also rereading Poison Study which I've noticed I always reread this book in Dec/Jan lol. Both are just for my yearly goal.

That's the "new" rate, so you're good. My cycle only restarted this month, so this is the first time I've had to pay $100.
I'm reading Goodbye Columbus by Philip Roth. It's not for a book club or anything. I'm about to start Replay, which is my local book club's pick for this month.
QOTD: I LOVE Hot Lead and Cold Feet, a great cheesy movie with Don Knotts.
I am reading The Daughter of Time (by Josephine Tey), it was on my list to read and the library had a copy - yeah! I like it so far and am happy to be reading a mystery (a favorite genre).
QOTW: I am torn between When Harry Met Sally and (already mentioned!) Dirty Dancing. I just love them both!

QOTD: Titanic.
See, now you're making me question whether a drive all the way to your place would be worth it. A mimosa club and a fellow Titanic-lover?

And everyone read the book this time! We actually found a brunch place in Greenwood Village that had bottomless mimosas and wasn't crowded at all. We decided to go back next month. They wanted to schedule it for feb 28th, but I have plans that weekend - lol. You have an open invitation, chica!
Why Zebras Don't get Ulcers - medicalish book about stress. Interesting but I'm just not drawn in The Fall of Hyperion* - book 2 in a series, but I liked the first one better and am not moving very quickly The Mummy Case by Elizabeth Peters on audiobook because it just came available at my library
The first movie that came to mind for QOTW is Drew Barrymore's Ever After.
*ETA and now my mind is blown after randomly googling the book and realizing that John Keats (the poet) actually wrote (or started) a poem with that title; no wonder he's such a character in the book. And Moneta! Geesh...I feel like maybe I'd be more into this book if I were reading it in an English class and got all of the allusions.

I just google'd this and it sounds really interesting. I've had some issues lately that my doctor thinks are stress-related, so I'm really curious to check this out. I added it to my TBR list.

Cool! If you want to chat about it when you're done I'll be happy to. I'm reading it because it was recommended to me but some of it is a little wordy so I'm skimming some of the chapters that are less relevant to me.
