Crawling over here from TB. I think auntie will vouch for me.
I have two kiddos. The older one is four and has ASD/HFA, diagnosed the day before he turned two. We did twenty-eight hours a week of ABA through EI between two and three. He's a verbal, quirky ball of "Star Wars" and Legos and superheroes these days. Goes to integrated preschool full-time with ABA support and does an RDI/social thinking group twice per week.
The baby is eight-and-a-half months old and is rocking some hypertonia and a communication delay. Neuro says he's not so severe as to merit a sedated MRI before age one, so we're in wait and see mode there. Meeting with the orthopedic surgeon at the Children's CP clinic in a few weeks to discuss the motor component. He's doing five hours a week of EI, including PT, OT, yoga, and time with a developmental specialist. We see a speech pathologist intermittently. The team has said he will struggle to learn to walk and talk. I have the early childhood ASD playbook down pat from dealing with his brother, but this has been a whole different ballgame.
Due to my masochistic tendencies, I also volunteer with a parent organization that works with the schools and local families on special education issues.
I look forward to getting to know you guys and your kids.

Welcome! I'm not a super-active member (I've been on TB SN board a bit more) but it's good to have you here!
I have twin boys who just turned 6. One is typically developing, high-energy and athletic, though he does have asthma and we've dealt with a load of food allergies with him. The other is "at risk for ASD" and has anxiety, SPD and hypotonia, with delays in gross motor, fine motor and social skills, plus food allergies and a seizure history. He's our little artist and animal-lover.
