Do you work in school nutrition? I saw your vent post about the software system. Which program are you guys using? We just ran our first set of direct certs today.

Sorry! Didn't see this. Right now we use Lunch Express from Harris School Solutions. We are switching to ETrition from Harris. What do you guys use? I have a list of direct certs on my desk that need to be entered, but they will have to wait until after enrollment which is today and tomorrow.

You have to enter direct certs manually? That sucks. We get a data file from social services and upload it into our system. We just have to mail the notification letters home- just stuffed 1,000+ of those in envelopes!

We use MealsPlus. It is 100x Better than the program we used at my former job. We also use their software for ordering and inventory.

We only have 200 kids in my school, so it's not that big of a deal. I think the new program will do the direct certs for us and will even have direct cert letters, which is exciting. I think we previewed MealsPlus, but it's was more $ than the district wanted to spend.

Gotcha. That's interesting that you guys do things on the school level. We do everything from the central office.
