I dont need a planner for my life. Not enough stuff seems to be happening. I just use my calendar. (a big one that hangs on the wall, but I leave it behind the microwave)
Are you guys using this for work? Then I feel better since a)i am currently not working and b)even when I am working, every day is the same 99% of the time.
If I bought one, then yes, I would use it for work as well. But, I also am in college, studying for my gre, and getting ready to apply to my masters program. Oh, and I have an almost 8 year old with lots of school stuff.
I almost bought one but I figured it would just be one of the things I read about on the Internet that sounded cool at the time. Like my Flip video camera, Mr. Bento, fake Clarisonic, yoga ball desk chair, etc.
I won't be using it primarily for work. I'll be using it to keep track of my 101 list and progress towards completing it. I'm a very goal oriented person and now that my biggest goal is accomplished (school) I have several small ones to accomplish. I also plan to use it for meal planning and jotting down ideas, recipes, books, etc.
I'm a very visual person so having a planner to visualize my week, my goals, and my spending (I keep daily spending in my planner) is nice. Keeps me focused and present.
Like I've said before I bought the teacher plan book. Last year I tried an online version of a planbook and it drove me crazy! We had an A week and B week, which means every other week we had a different schedule. If there was a break we would revert back to A week. I could never figure out how to change it in my plan book as I would have ongoing scheduled things already in my "book" that were wrong because I couldn't figure out how to change it because of the breaks.
I'm hoping to use my planbook to keep schedule changes easy and to keep meetings written down and on my Outlook calendar. There are so many things to keep track of I can't do it, with just my Outlook calendar, I just need it written down!
I don't have many deadlines, I just have way to many things to remember to do. Then I stay up all night trying to remember them. Then I get overwhelmed and shut down and don't do anything, lol. I tried writing normal lists, but I couldn't keep track of all my lists.
ETA: I really think I just have a problem keeping on task. I definitely wish I didn't have such a problem keeping track of what I need to do. Really I'm just lazy and get distracted easily, so stuff I have to do gets put off. If you don't need a planner, you're probably just more efficient
Google calendar on my tablet only way to keep track of work projects, meetings, appointments, personal stuff, DH and I outings we plan, bdays, holidays, anniversaries and family events. Only way to really remember any of these things. I even book time with DH in it, so we both know its our time.

I just finished packing my Mr. Bento with my lunch for tomorrow. I love that thing!
You're probably better at remembering things than I am, because without a calendar, I would forget things I don't want to forget. We enter appointments for ourselves and for the dogs (Dexter has a lot of vet appointments), weekend plans, family plans, volunteer work, any work stuff DH has to do outside of regular working hours, etc.
For things I have to do or want to do but not necessarily on a set day, I keep a running "to do" list on my phone. I add stuff to it as I think of them and delete them as I do them. I also keep a grocery, Target, and Costco lists, a list of books, movies, and music I want to read / see / buy, gift ideas to remember later, etc. Lists are as valuable to me as my calendar.
btw I'm a digital calendar user only. My phone is almost always in my pocket so it's easy to add things as I think of them. How or why anyone would want to use paper in this day and age is beyond me. But, to each his/her own.
