I landed a job in a business professional environment but look like a football line backer in a suit. What else can you wear besides a suit and still be business professional? I have a larger chest so button down shirts never work for me. Bonus points to virtually dressing me with pictures
i TOTALLY understand what you are saying. i feel like i am playing dress up when i wear a suit. instead of blazers or suit jackets, i will swap it out with a cardigan (though, FYI, i would never do this for an interview). my easy go-to outfit is a pencil skirt, cute top, cardi, and heels or a sheath and cardi with heels. hope that helps!
i think red pants are fun, too. this totally depends on your office. i personally could not wear bright red pants to work, and i feel like i already push the envelope already. however, lots of girls here do work in offices where that would be appropriate. what kind of environment will you be in? maybe go conservative the first week and get an idea of what is appropriate/not appropriate before you break out the awesome red pants.
It is a financial service company and every time I've been in there, the woman who interviewed me was wearing an adorable wrap dress or a skirt/cardigan combination. I met one other girl who was wearing a black sleeveless dress with a jeweled collar. The last woman I saw today was wearing a suit.
The Limited has these things called no closure jacket. I'm wondering if that would be good for me because my problem is usually when I button a suit jacket. I'm going to give this a shot.

I second this. I am really conservative in my workwear (I am a government contractor and work onsite with my client in a federal building). I wear a pencil skirt with cute top/cardi or jacket or a nice dress with cardigan most days. I incorporate some dress pants in the winter.
Red pants may be ok, but I wouldn't wear them for the first few weeks. Also, just because someone else in the place does it, doesn't mean it is ok/you should. Get the general vibe from everyone there before you get too adventurous.
If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them. - Bruce Lee
I communicated with the manager today and she said that it is business professional - suits and panty hose not required. Fridays I can wear my red pants
I have this dress in 3 colors. It's an absolute workhorse for me. I only buy the colors that go on sale and wait to combine that with a coupon. Ergo, this dress is only $100 (use code SHOPNOW to buy it now for that price for the sale colors). The wool is fabulous - wrinkles fall out in between wearings, so you don't need to iron it or take it to the cleaners until it needs it.
I also wear lots of pencil skirts. Wait before you invest in cardigans. My usual supply of cotton ones didn't fly at one job. A dressier, slinkier weave would have been fine, but I ended up just defaulting to my sheath dresses that had sleeves so it wasn't an issue.
