Anyone have an animal with this? Our dog was diagnosed with his Sunday. After 5 days in the vet hospital and a blood transfusion he is finally showing signs of inprovement. He has multiple meds he has to take one of which is sucralfate. Anyone have any tips on how to get him to take it better? It is his worst med because it isn't a pill we can give him. We have to dissolve it and give it to him and he hates it.
Anyways I am unsure of my point in this post just wondering if anyone has experience with this disease and your stories.
Do you have to dissolve it in liquid? You could use a syringe and squirt it in his mouth. He might hate that too, but its better than trying to get him to drink it on his own.
Or you could drizzle it on something he does love. Maybe use bread to soak it up?
I'm glad you have an answer finally and that he's improving!

Yes. We tried to switch it to dissolve in chicken broth. But no go he still hate it. Good things is once the meds are gone we don't have to get a refill, they are just done. Which will be in about 4 days.
