I've had a lingering cold for over a week now. This morning I woke up and the lymph node under my chin is noticeably swollen. It's very sore and tender to touch, and makes it hurt to swallow. Otherwise I feel fine; no fever or anything.
To be safe, I figured I'd put in a call to the doctor tomorrow. I was going to call my regular doctor, but H said maybe I should call the ob instead. Who do you call when you're sick?
I had the same thing last month and my Ob referred me to my pcp for care. It was viral so I was sent home with a note to take off work for a week so it could completely clear my system
When I was having allergy/asthma issues I talked to my OB and she sent me to my PCP. I'd do the same if I had issues again, I figure first stop at the OB can't hurt.
I went to a regular doctor. They were weird about the pregnancy though. I called the OB nurse to make sure medicines were okay. My OB office doesn't like sick people in the office.

For a lingering cold I'd see my PCP, then run anything she recommends by the OB. It sucks, but I found that the colds I've gotten while pregnant linger for 2 weeks or so and there was really nothing to do but ride it out (and I had the most horrible cough). But I'd want to have the lymph node looked at though it's most likely nothing.
