The good news is that I think DH is on board with this week being the one to raise hell about the situation. I think he is prepping an IG complaint, and he has mentioned getting on the commanding general's schedule using the open door policy here.

I wish it hadn't taken him this long to get to the point of being willing to do this stuff, but at least it seems he has hit his limit, too.


We're kinda at the point where we really don't care who gets embarrassed or who gets dumped on about this. And DH's career is already toast, so it's not like he can make that situation any worse.

Your whole situation is just appalling, and I'm "liking" this only because I agree that it's high time for someone's head to roll (or be threatened with rolling) for jerking you guys around over something as huge as an international PCS move.

I get you completely. If that were me and DH I'd have a meltdown that he didn't make use of the bolded lifeline much much sooner. What's happening to you guys is absolutely moronic. There is no reason for it.

Sometimes, you have to go up and over people to get stuff done. Do what you have to do. I don't want to say there's a higher level of incompetence over there, but... There's a reason it took us 7 months to get CS in the first place. Fingers crossed you get an actual, concrete date soon!

I totally missed the backstory, but I can't imagine that being in lodging is fun for a week, much less 4. I am so sorry you are dealing with this. I hope it gets figured out soon!!!

He did file an IG complaint today. I helped him clean up the wording of it so it's as concise and clear as possible.

He doesn't really expect it to speed things up, but at least it feels like we're doing _something_.


In the meantime, my employer is completely baffled at this. They thought I was moving to the US early this month.
