And sorry, but on a completely unrelated side note... Has anyone else noticed the massive, terrifying framed spider in the background of the cat meme pic? I'm having nightmares tonight.
I love it. I love the challenge to what athletic bodies are supposed to look like. I struggle with being ashamed of my stretch marks. Steph rothstein posted an IG of her running in her competition gear and I seriously looked at her unhidden stretch marks for ages. I love seeing all the mom elite runners, and I get the rock hard bodies. They work hard, they train all day - the muscle and abs where I have squishiness makes sense. But what I seldom see are the scars and stretch marks left from pregnancies. No amount of hard work will make those go away, and I really struggle to feel comfortable with them. It was really nice to see someone at that level without that shame.
Totally my favourite ad on telly here. I love the variety of shapes, sports and abilities. I love they included someone with Down's. It's had a really good reaction here.
Oh, hi again by the way. I have taken a fitness break after running 26 halfs last year. But I still like to read what you are all up to.
