I want to throw it out the window

my coworker's cell phone that is. It fell into water the other day so now all it does is beep. and beep. and beep. She isn't due for an upgrade until November so I'm going to be hearing this for awhile. The silence function broke when it got wet so now the volume is stuck on high. and beep. beep. beep. I'm at least 30 feet down the hall and in my own office.

Um, she needs to turn it off then. That's ridiculous.

She can't turn it off - lol! That broke too. She took it to Verizon and they basically said she is SOL. Her teenage daughters text her throughout the day so I know she doesn't want to leave it in the car. She must have put it in her purse or something because it just got muted a bit.

Tell her to go to target and buy a prepaid phone from her carrier. Pop the sim in and viola! Inexpensive new phobe until she can upgrade.

That would be perfect, but she has a smart phone, so no SIM card. :-( I can't hear the beeping today, I bet she finally just took the battery out.

Actually, if she has a normal carrier, like Verizon, she can get a cheap phone off of craigslist that had the same carrier and use it until she's due to upgrade. Or PLUG IT IN to a headphone set so only she hears the noise. There are so many ways out of this it's clear she's just being thoughtless.
