This is the bathroom in our bedroom. It was redone about 2 years before we bought the house (about two years ago). The problem for me is the pink beige color of the tile and the scroll/leave design at the top of the tile. I like the cabinet and the granite but feel like the wall tile doesn't go with the granite and vanity. My style is more modern and this tile feels traditional to me. The tile is staying for now, I am looking for ideas on how to make this more my style? I am looking for cosmetic fixes at this point.( a mirror, new light fixture, some type of cabinet?) I worked with a Maria Killiam "true color expert" with the wall color. She suggested this color but I think it brings out more of the pink beige! I would be open to painting the walls. Thanks!

I agree that I don't like the tile. That said, I have a similar granite and white cabinets in my kitchen, and I think it works well with both my wall color (BM Cotswold, a warm griege) and the tile backsplash (Pumice, a cloudy-grey color). It's hard to show color accurately in pics, but here's the truest pic of the grey tile color:
And the wall color:
I think if you go darker/richer with the wall color and then add some light or bright art or something it'll draw attention upwards and away from the tile.
I would try painting first, and then if you still hate the tile maybe you can just remove the stuff at a level higher than the sink and do a contrasting pencil-edge for what you have? Although honestly, if it's a really small space, I might be tempted to just suck it up and retile it than trying to do an interim save.
I agree, the wall tile doesn't match the granite. Do you like dark colors? I'm a one trick pony, but I think a medium charcoal grey would look more modern on the walls and compliment the granite better. It looks black and white on my screen. If the granite is warmer tones, pick a darker shade from that slab. You can add a black framed mirror.
There are some tutorials online for painting tile, but I'm skeptical if they work.
Thanks! There seems to be more brown in the granite than gray. I could try pulling a dark brown out of the granite and put it on the walls. Here is a close up:

Thank you for your comments! I love your kitchen ! My wall tile is so pink
Have I mentioned my parents were the former home owners and my mother picked this combo out?!? Why mom.... Why?
I think I might try going with a dark brown on the walls. I did get a quote to remove just the top scroll/leave part of tile (and leave the rest up,) as you mentioned. It would be easier to just remove it all and start from scratch. The tile guy said he would have to work carefully around the pieces that would stay so he wouldn't damage them.
I think I agree with PP for an interim save and go with a nice very dark, cold toned brown paint and then modern accessories to try and tone down that tile. EEsh, I do like traditional but that tile is just bad, it comes across as painfully pink toned on my screen! Cheaper option than a whole new cabinet would be to just get new doors that look more modern as that paneling is very trad. and also swap out the handles for something much more updated. I'd try leaving the cabinet white for now but if you still hated it, then paint it similarly to the walls, something nice and dark cool brown.

I definitely feel your pain! The old kitchen had pinkish-toned cabinets, and mauve walls because they couldn't find any other color that didn't clash with the pink-toned cabinets. :-P
I had a LOT of pink/pinkish tones in my house when I bought it.
I would also do a tan or greige. I think something cool might clash too much and make the tile pop even more, but something warm and bold will help divert the eye.

It is pink... Maybe not as pink as it looks but definitely pink. I don't mind the vanity/cabinet, ( I feel like the tile is the worst offender) When I mentioned a cabinet in my original post , I was referring to a wall cabinet. Thanks you for your comments.

I never saw a "before" of your kitchen! As I mentioned we bought my parents house. My mother loves pink beige and yellow golds! Not my colors but I feel like I want to work with the tile for now because why rip out a new bathroom when we want to spend money on other projects.
I think a grayish brown would be better than a dark brown. A fresher look. The dark brown may make the pink stand out even more and I think may look dated instead of helping.

Thank you for you comment. I am going to pick up some paint swatches. I will probably be back for opinions.
