I didn't make it past the first 6 examples. Dreary morning here today. I hate it so much when it's happening and it's wrong and you know it is but you can't do anything about it because you can't prove anything.
I've been lucky enough when I was a civilian that I was never really in the position to get a promotion. Now the primary thing that stands between me and a promotion is an exam. I did, however, have someone tell me that I'm not passionate enough about my job because I use an $82 stethescope as opposed to a fancy schmancy $150 one. I couldn't think of an intelligent, non-profanity filled response to the pompous douche at the time so I'm sure he thinks he won. Fortunately he won't be writing my eval or I'm sure it would reflect my lack of passion for my job.
God, you guys should see my peers from OCS. I got called fake. And ugly. In what's supposed to be a professional peer review. FOR WHICH THERE IS A MANUAL. My trainer complimented me on my peers at the end (the ones I wrote) and I was like, well why didn't you harp on the personal attacks in everyone else's?
I've never had peer reviews, thank God, but my husband did at his training. He said he read one and it was so mean that he threw away the rest without reading them.
Basically Stan, I'd be much more worried if the peer reviews were positive. I think people put that awful stuff when they are jealous and feel the need to slow down a fast burner.
