And did something "cause" it to return? Like STTN/ night weaning, solids, total weaning.
Just curious because DS is 8 months and no sign of my period returning. He still nurses 8-10 times a day, doesn't STTN, and doesn't eat much solid food. I figure it will come back in March when we are at the beach in FL.
DD1 it came back at 6 months. Brought on by the mini-pill which gave me 2 periods a month for 6 months until I refused to take it anymore.
DS it came back at 7 months. Nothing significant.
DD2 It came back 5 days after PP bleeding stopped, so at 8 weeks. Nothing significant.
DD3 I am on my 3rd cycle since having her in June. It came back in November so 5 months. I had PP bleeding for 8 weeks again so I only had 3 months off:)

With DD it is was right around six months. She did start sleeping longer stretches around that time.
With DS it was about 10 weeks. He did have a few nights where he slept a long stretch and a guess that was enough to start it. Even though he did not continue to sleep like that my cycle returned the next month. Boo to that.
Both kids it came back about 8 months. Both kids were ebf but were eating solids then. Still nursing a lot in the day but both my kids sttn by 8 weeks (ducks)

It came back when my daughter was a year old, like on her birthday. Nothing changed in our routine and she was still waking at night to eat. I was breastfeeding and she wouldn't eat solids.
I haven't gotten mine yet. DD is a little over 12mo and I weaned fully at the beginning of the year. I started a combo BCP immediately though, so I'm waiting to see if it returns at the end of the pack.
My DD is 9weeks and I think it started in the last few days. It came back much later with my other two but I don't remember exactly when(I think it was around 6months).

14 months. About a month after I got her to fall asleep without nursing so she was only eating 2ish times a night instead of every 45 minutes. Solid intake increased around 11 months, but didn't start my period. She's still nursing 4-6 times a day.
I get mine back at 3 months pp. I have all three times. Even though I EBF without starting any sort of solids yet, didn't use pacifiers 2/3 times, fed on demand, didn't pump, and was no where near STTN or even getting significant stretches of sleep or breaks at all.
I think for some women, it's certainly tied to nursing demand, and for others, it's just going to happen when it happens. It's frustrating that there's so little research into the mechanics of breastfeeding in general.

#1: 1 week after I weaned DD at 18 months. She was still nursing regularly/MOTN when she weaned. #2: 13 months and still no period. He does not STTN and nurses regularly.
