We have a realtor. He sold H his house. He is a nice guy, but has a full time job and isn't as responsive as I'd like. I mean he responds daily, but in the evenings after his 9-5 job. If this was his job, I no doubt would be getting responses all throughout the day.
We haven't found a house yet. We are trying to negotiate a house we originally put an offer on, didn't get because someone had a better offer, that fell through, and now the owners took the house off the market to make repairs. If this doesn't work, I'm going to consider cutting things off.
I obviously will feel really bad. I mean he has been showing us houses for months, but on the other hand, if it isn't work, it isn't working.
I agree. Business is business. We 'fired' our original realtor after she was too lazy to look into our association rules. I didn't want to look at a place if I couldn't have a big dog. Apparently, that's a tough question to find an answer to.
Our new realtor found out on day 1, we looked at the house the following day & the rest is history.

H said he thinks I'm being too hard saying I want to part ways. He said our realtor has done nothing to jeopardize us getting a house and waiting a day for an email isn't asking too much. On this, we disagree.
Yes, I'd feel really bad breaking ties. But I'm getting sick of only being able to look at houses after 6pm (and driving for 1.5 hours to get there through rush hour traffic) when H and I could be available in the morning or after depending on our schedules.
I keep plugging away. There aren't any new homes to see anyways, which is annoying.
Guess I need to find a pediatrician close by and start looking for a nanny who works out this way.
I would find another realtor, honestly. H and I had the same problem with ours only doing it PT. We ended up finding our own house on buyowner.com. We told her this, and she wasn't too happy. Oh well, she wasn't getting it done and we found a house in the location we wanted.
