Miracle of miracles, I actually won! I came in at .1 lbs less than goal. I am shocked. This week I suddenly dropped somewhere between 3-4lbs. I wonder if eating crap all last weekend and upping my daily calories got my metabolism going finally? I'm not going to question it, but I about fell over when I weighed myself for a final weigh in.
How did everyone do? Who else am I splitting this pot with? And if you didn't win, did you lose some weight anyway? Financially I was about to be disappointed, but I had lost a few lbs even before I found out I won, and I was pretty happy about that anyway.
I don't think I'll be doing another one, since I really can't afford a loss and this was WAY too close. But I guess I'm glad this one worked out!
I squeaked in yesterday morning despite unexpectedly starting my period. Had cake pops yesterday afternoon!
I don't think I will do another month-long one anytime soon, but I may do a transformer. That seems much more reasonable and helpful for me sustaining it.
Agreed! I joined a transformer at the same time as this one, and I have 5 more months to lose about 14lbs. When I had to lose 9.1lbs in 4 weeks for this one, the transformer sounds a LOT more reasonable! 1% each week is a lot.

I made it! This is my 3rd 4-week one and the first time I've made it. I've decided I'm not doing any more of the 4 week bets, I'm doing a transformer now too and it's much more my speed. I have a lot to lose so the slow and steady method is better for me.
Didn't make it by 1 pound, but initial weigh in was day after a stomach bug. I am in 2 other 4 week challenges and 3 transformers and am on track for all of them. I'll take it. I just won a heart rate monitor in one of the 6 monthers.

I made it by a decent amount but I figured I would since I ate like crap over the holidays and have really cleaned up my eating, etc since 1/1.
For me, 4% is relatively easy when I first kick off a weight loss program - I lose a lot in water weight. I won't join another one because more than a pound a week isn't sustainable long term. I am in the transformer as well and as long as I stay on track I'm anticipating success with that as well.
Great job everybody! It sounds like there won't be much of a pot to split, but I think that's ok since it means we all did well! Even those that didn't win, it sounds like you did great too. Yay for getting healthy!
So, I was looking at the rules for a transformer. It looks like it's a monthly bet, not just a one time bet? and you have to weigh in every month and meet certain goals? Anyone know if you have to submit photos every month, or just at the beginning and end? It's been Murphy's law, the photo mornings always seem to hit on mornings I'm already running late and it's one more things to do.
Every month. You can also buy tokens for weekly prizes that you weigh in for. That is how I won the heart rate monitor.
