We're pcs-ing soon and I'm trying to get a job lined up. I HATE job hunting. Hate it. I've been self-employed since we got into the Army and I won't be able to with this move. Blech.
That's rough. What's your field? PCSing here halved our income. It sucked.
I run an inhome daycare on post through Army FCC. At our next post, we won't have access to post housing, so I'd have to become a provider through the state (aka start all over again with paperwork/training/startup costs). Not only that, but finding a rental in our budget that will allow a childcare business and meets the safety requirements is next to impossible.
The thought of job hunting is one of the top reasons why we fought to stay put at this duty station for 9 years. The good news is that the state where we're likely going to be stationed next offers both certification reciprocity for our current state and expedited certification for spouses of service members. The bad news is that I'm going to have to try for the sub pool if I don't manage to find a full time teaching job over the summer. Blah.

I feel your pain. Dh has been unemployed since December. We are going on close to a month of a poring process. He should hopefully get final word this week but man its crazy!
