H's wing commander said on Friday at the awards dinner that the AF is the smallest it's been since the year it was created in terms of manpower. I thought that was interesting given the global political climate and how we're basically only offering air support in the fight against ISIL. As a country we seem to be averse to "boots on the ground" but okay with aerial bombing/supply drops....yet the AF is the smallest it's ever been. Military logic!
