Seriously woman, tell your dad Sara is dead. AND YOU ARE A HORRIBLE BLACK CANARY. YOU WILL NEVER BE AS GOOD AS SARA.

So here's my deal with Laurel. First, I like Katie Cassidy (since she was Ruby 1.0). So I always feel bad hating on her character.
However, Laurel is so bad sometimes it hurts. And it's the writing. First, they gave her nothing. Then sent her down a dark drug path. Then pulled her out of that. Then hello Black Canary.
I like her the best when she's being Lawyer Laurel, badass district attorney Laurel. That's where they should have kept her. If the show couldn't support Sara and Laurel, then it's the shows fault.
I was a least glad that when she finally did put on the Canary suit it was because she was pissed that all the evidence she needed to put Brick's gang away was stolen. That at least felt a little organic. And she does still kind of suck with the fighting.

And the whole let's never tell Lance the truth is so stupid. He knows Roy is Arsenal but can't tell that it's not Sara? Or doesn't know Oliver is the Arrow (but I think he really knows that one). He's going to be so crushed when he finds out not only is Sara dead but Laurel's been lying to him about it.
Marc Guggenheim was a little shocked that people reacted so strongly to Laurel pretending to be Sara. REALLY? It was horrible.

OK, I feel better now.

See. I think it's partly Katie's fault Laurel is so bad. Girl cannot act her way out of a paper bag.

Take the Arrow reveal when Slade told her it was Oliver. Was she confused? Sad? Surprised? Angry? Who the fuck knows because her face doesn't move!!

No. She has not had great material to work with, but neither has Diggle and I'd argue David Ramsey has done a hell of a lot better with nothing than Katie has.

I want Laurel to die so bad. I haven't hated a character this much since Dawn on Buffy.

Yeah, thinking about that scene makes my hurt a little it was so bad. I just don't think she's invested.

And I do agree about David Ramsey. Dude needs more story! I love him.
