Stretching timebetween feeds

Should we be aiming to do this? She has eaten every 3 hrs since birth and even with solids, still does. Should we be stretching? Larger feeds?

I was just thinking about this. She's on a 3 hour schedule too, but the past several days, she's had one 4 hour stretch. Today I'm going to start doing 3.5 hours and see how she does.

I fed my first on demand for the whole first year. I would periodically increase the amount I offerred and he stretched out the time on his own.

I feed pudding mostly on demand but sometimes I will try to distract him by making the person who doesn't smell like boob milk go get him.

It doesn't work. Boy is a food monsta!

My babu loves to eat every 3 hrs, but then she wont eat more than her usual.

We fed on demand--just didn't make sense to force longer stretches. Heck I eat every 3 hours when I'm awake!

I failed at making it to 3.5 hours. We made it to 3 hours 9 minutes.

I read this as "stretching" and pictured you making L do some exercises between eating.

This is what we did although when the time between feedings started to shorten, we upped the amount by 1 oz. and it all just kind of sorted itself out.
