To recap: 18 cycles of trying, used OPKs in the past and always had positive OPKs. Took clomid this cycle and never had a positive OPK. Now my period is 5 days late, had some cramping 2 days ago, totally gone now. TMI Alert: lots of cervical mucus, enough so that I keep going to the bathroom with a tampon because I think it is my period. Took a pregnancy test 5 days ago and it was negative. I am of course traveling for work right now, but if I do not have my period tomorrow when I get home, I will test again.
So here is where I am just so confused. Could I have ovulated and the OPK test not picked it up? Could I be ovulating now? Have the opks that I used for the last 18 months been false positives? WHY DON'T I HAVE MY PERIOD. what the actual fuck. I am confused, overwhelmed, scared, heartbroken. In no way do I think I am pregnant, I just feel like my cycle is super fucked up or something. But I want to know why all of a sudden, after nearly 2 years of 26 day cycles, am I on day 31 with no period and apparently no ovulation?
Ugh, sorry for venting again, guys. Thanks for always being here for me and my crazy.
You could have had a super quick lh surge. Do you temp to confirm o? It is not uncommon to have a positive opk, not o, then have another positive opk later in your cycle. Do you use the opks after you have a positive to confirm you don't have another positive later in the cycle if you are second guessing things right now? It's almost like a practice o. My body annoyingly has been known to do this.
I wouldn't assume you are out yet...those symptoms you are describing are exactly what I had the two times I got pregnant - not trying to give false hope. You aren't out until af rears her ugly face. You also have incredible self restraint. If I were in your shoes I would be peeing on all things I could get my hands on. If you don't want to pee on a pregnancy test and risk a negative with that, try peeing on an opk if you have one. If it is a positive or near positive, that is a good sign and I would haul ass to the nearest drug store asap.

Clomid may have changed your cycle somewhat, meaning your regular 26 day non-clomid cycles are not the best comparison. Test again when you can, and try to not freak out until then at least (I know, easier said than done).
Hugs and deep breaths, friend! I have read that Clomid can push back O date for sure. Did you keep taking opks? Honestly, I think maybe you were not having u/s checks, right? If that's the case, I wouldn't take Clomid again without them. You only have so many chances with it, and I'd hate to see those months be wasted if you're not being checked.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

My doc didn't mention anything about getting ultrasounds while using clomid...is this common?

Did you test just once a day? And at the same time every day? Because it's possible you had a short surge and missed it for example if you tested on day 16 at 8 am and then on day 17 not until noon. Were any of your OPKs almost positive?

Yes, if you're seeing an RE. You know my schedule, so I haven't been yet, but I have friends who got clomid from an OB and weren't monitored, and ones who got it from an RE and were monitored.

I charted for 9 months and every single cycle I ovulated according to my chart (and pregnancies) and I never once got a positive OPK. That's even being 100% certain that I was using them on the day before and of ovulation according to the chart.
Clomid might have changed your LH surge a bit. I would not assume that you didn't ovulate, but I would request monitoring so that you can be certain of your window while using Clomid.
Thanks, guys. I am really ok with it, I assumed I was not pregnant and that it was something weird with my cycle due to the clomid. I will call the RE right now and ask about monitoring.
