It entertains me that one of the biggest complaints about all the nest changes was the fact that the board was all white and hurt people's eyes.

This board is crazy bright white :-)

Also I would argue that people's biggest annoyance with TN was that it wouldn't load.

Ha! I saw the "themes" pin just after I posted that, and I figured that's what it was for. Whoops. Oh well :-)

The Nest is so dumb. If they really lose all of us, they have no one but themselves to blame.

I will say that this board is loading MUCH faster than the Nest ever did, even before the upgrade. I keep being surprised that when I click on something, it moves immediately.

This board is not white, actually, it's a very light gray. The old nest was a really light tan. Something about the black font on the light gray/tan background is easier on the eyes.

I could've gotten used to the bright white, and the ugly smileys, and the myriad other little things that were wrong...but since the damn thing wouldn't even load properly, I'm more than happy to vote with my feet and give traffic to a site that knows WTF they're doing.

Very true. But there were many complaints about the white screen. (Which didn't bother me, so I just noticed those more.)
