My answer for pretty much every movie question is the same: The Sound of Music.
I love the love story in the film, but I also love the love story in real life. I read a quote a long time ago by Maria Von Trapp, and it's still one of my favorites:
"I really and truly was not in love. I liked him but didn't love him. However, I loved the children, so in a way I really married the children. . . . By and by I learned to love him more than I have ever loved before or after."

Amelie. It came out as H and I were starting to get serious, and I had a lot of commitment issues at the time. It struck a chord, and every time I watch it, I think of that time when I finally came around to the idea of sticking with one person for life.
The movie as a whole certainly isn't romantic but this part from Last of the Mohicans is swoon-worthy.
DDL's Hawkeye to MS's Cora.
"No, you submit, do you hear? You be strong, you survive... You stay alive, no matter what occurs! I will find you. No matter how long it takes, no matter how far, I will find you."
I will always have a soft spot for Ghost, especially with PS' passing.
I actually really like legends of the fall even though it ends sadly. LOL. I loved watching tristan loving both of those women.
Possibly unpopular but I absolutely hated the Julia Ormond/Suzanna character and wasn't sorry at all when she died.
I loved Isabelle II though and hated when she died.
My favorite part about that movie besides the prettiness of Brad Pitt (and Aidan Quinn was quite foxy himself with those stunning blue eyes) was the relationship and love between the brothers. The ending makes me cry every time when AQ's Alfred saves the day.
I think the love story in Life is Beautiful is the most- I don't know that romantic is the right word- but that one will stick with me forever. It was a true love story.
This is one of my favorite movies! It came to mind when opening this thread but I don't know if I would call it romantic.
I had the same exact thought as you both. I don't know that I'd say it's a romantic film but it was the first thing that I thought of when I opened the thread.
Funny thing is I'm almost positive my DH (boyfriend at the time) watched this movie for Valentines day on year many moons ago.

I love the romance story in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night because it shows you fall in love with a person - not their stature or even necessarily their gender. It's also a comedy so there isn't very much swooning.
Little Women with the romance between Jo and the Professor. Ooooh. Even the Winona Ryder version.

I have to check out all those time moves lol.
Yes. SWOON. SWOOOOOOOOOON.
Mutual respect and admiration?
Bring me my fainting couch.
And yet still with a grand gesture of love for her AND her work, unselfish at that b/c he thought she was with Laurie.
And even though I hate Keanu, I love The Lake House.
That movie makes absolutely no sense, at all. Of course, that doesn't stop me from watching it every time it is on t.v. and sobbing like a baby at the ending.
