Other sappy movies I love to watch when I need to have all the feels... The Notebook...I like the old people storyline, I mean, I know its all the same, but the idea that this old man loves his wife so much, he is willing to hang out with her when she doesn't even know who he is gives me feelings.
The Vow...Maybe this is a theme, I like the whole "Love conquers all" aspect. That someone will do anything for the person they love, lol.
PS I Love You. I fucking hate Hilary Swank, but dammit if I don't cry every god damn time I watch the movie.
I think I might binge watch some of these to restore my faith in men...though it may also end up like this
I'm not sure I could watch it right now. But I do love when he re-lives the day just taking in all the little things and realizing that normal ordinary life really can be wonderful.
And even though I hate Keanu, I love The Lake House.
I guess I need to watch The Lake House sober, because I watched it a couple of bottles of wine in during a girls' movie night and I thought it made no damn sense. None of us did. By the end we were all slurring, "what is going ooooon?"
While You Were Sleeping is probably my favorite romantic movie. I love Bill Pullman in that role.
ETA: The Princess Bride! How could I forget The Princess Bride?!
I seriously wish Hollywood would make more romance films. There is so few made nowadays, and they are all soooo badly written and acted. I miss romantic comedies. I do not think the genre is dead. It is amazing how many horror films are put out and you get like 4 romantic films in a year and they are all shit.
The Kiera Knightley Pride and Prejudice gives me the feels. Mr. Darcy's "I love you" three times and his walking out of the morning mist to her make me happy sigh.
Cinema Paradiso (not the newer released version with the additional ending, just the original version).
If you don't think this is an amazingly romantic and heart-breaking movie you have a heart of stone. It has been said that the kissing montage near the end of the film is one of the best final scenes in just about any movie EVER.
The Piano. Ugh, I love it so much. I'm not sure it really qualifies as a romance, but the ending scene gets me. Plus, I find Harvey Keitel really sexy.
