I'm starting again today after doing Whole 30 in Jan. I just came back from a vacation, during which I ate and drank a lot. I'm excited to eat healthily again and refocus on diet and exercise. I'm going to register for either a 10km or a half next month also...not sure which. It will depend on how my runs feel over the next couple weeks. I really need to start strength training again also.
I was bad this weekend. With it being Valentine's Day and my wedding anniversary, I cheated some. I'm doing Paleo mostly but cut out grains (except rice) and dairy completely because I've realized that I have intollerances. Well, I had 2 pieces of cheese last night with dinner and the tiniest sliver of chocolate pound cake and ended up with severe stomach cramps after dinner. I'm not ready to go full bore W30, but I'm going to go back for at least the next 7 days and clean out the crap that I put into my system over the weekend.
No.
Seriously.
This language is not okay. YOU were not bad and you didn't cheat anything. You made food choices that weren't ideal for you and didn't make you feel good. That doesn't make you bad.
I'm on day 8. I completely cheated on vday and had pasta at the restaurant we went to. I don't care because it was Delicous!
This morning I really really wanted a burrito with sausage egg and cheese but refrained. I was very pleased with myself. I'm making cabbage rolls tonight and very excited about them.
Day 1. I'm off to a terrible start. We were going to go grocery shopping yesterday, but we forgot until it was too late. Our fridge is empty. I'm hoping the roads will be better after work and I will be able to go to the store.
B: nothing L: salad with grilled chicken and oil/balsamic dressing D: I think I might be able to throw together some fajitas before we go to the grocery store.

Hi! This is my 2nd day. I've been thinking about a Whole30 for awhile but feel like I'm in a good place to do so now. After baby 2 arrived (4 mnths ago) sweets became a bit of the norm, and I want to go back to appreciating the taste of real food. Coincidentally, my I tried on a favorite pair of jeans this morning and they fit again (yay!) so this isn't about weight loss for me but really just a nice reset.
So far, so good. I made mini spinach egg frittatas yesterday to have leftovers for a couple of days. And I made some awesome salad jars for the week. Roasted tomatoes, red onion, red pepper. Browned beef. Spinach. Avocado, green onion and cilantro on top. (link to blog in siggy if you want to see them). Roast with homemade coffee rub, plus red cabbage for dinner. And lots of yummy fruit and a serving of walnuts. I am breasfeeding so fairly hungry. I am being pretty generous with my fruit intake in these first couple of days.
Day 9 here. I'm hanging in there. According to the timeline, these are the feeling fat days, and of course I've started my period. Double whammy. I'm looking forward to tiger blood, but I know that's still a ways off.
I'm already amazed at the reflection on my former habits though. It's already been a positive experience just realizing that.

day 15! I keep forgetting to check in here. Halfway done! I made one bad choice and had half a piece of Bonnie's garlic bread. Which was actually kind of a blessing in disguise, because I realized it was a trigger. I have had frequent PVCs for years (heart palpitations) like, hundreds per day. I've been to cardiologists and everything looks fine with my heart, I just have the PVCs all the time. Since starting Whole30 I haven't had ANY. A few hours after eating the bread I was having them again. I looked online and it seems like a lot of people have frequent PVCs that seem to be tied to gluten sensitivity. So, that seems to be my answer. In any case, I'm feeling amazing. I haven't weighed, but I feel like I've lost weight.
Food today:
B: Egg with sauteed onion, mushroom, and kale. Cooked in coconut oil. L: Aidells chicken and apple sausage w/ mushrooms and cauliflower "rice" S: Banana and almonds D: Beef and broccoli
